India sees record 15,000 daily coronavirus cases with infections soaring in remote villages after migrant workers fled hard-hit cities

There were 15,413 new coronavirus cases in India on Sunday, the largest daily increase ever. A further 14,821 on Monday took the total Covid-19 infection to 425,282. A total of 445 new deaths have been reported in India today, bringing the total to 13,6999. The Indian government ran trains to bring thousands of workers back to local villages. About 90 percent of India's poorest districts now have coronavirus disease
